This report summarizes the outcomes of the Microbes Ideation Workshop, hosted by Align to Innovate on May 2 and 3, 2024 in Vancouver, Canada. The workshop brought together scientists and technologists to identify key microbiology dataset ideas that will enable the next generation of predictive models. Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in a series of guided sessions designed to explore current challenges in microbial datasets and identify promising projects to address some of these issues. The overarching goal was to distill these ideas into well-defined dataset draft proposals, each accompanied by potential approaches to data (and metadata) collection and use for model creation. The preliminary dataset ideas, predictive models, and data collection methods developed during the workshop are detailed herein and will be utilized by Align to Innovate’s Open Datasets Initiative as foundational elements guiding our next public data collection efforts.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
