Quiet Quitting: Is it a Trend Among Metro Manila Professionals?

Abstract

Professionals quietly leaving their jobs without giving notice has become more common in recent years. This phenomenon, known as "quiet quitting," has been observed in countries all over the world, but it is especially common in Metro Manila, Philippines. There are a variety of reasons why professionals in Metro Manila may choose to leave their jobs quietly. Some people may believe they are not being paid fairly or are not being given the opportunities they deserve. Others might be unhappy with their work-life balance or the company culture. Others may simply be seeking a new challenge. Whatever the reason, quiet quitting can have a significant impact on Metro Manila businesses. When employees leave quietly, they frequently leave their unfinished projects behind, causing chaos and disruption for the rest of the team. They may also take sensitive information with them, jeopardising the company's reputation. We will investigate the phenomenon of quiet quitting in Metro Manila in this paper. We will talk about why professionals choose to quietly quit, the impact quiet quitting has on businesses, and what businesses can do to prevent quiet quitting. We believe that this research will provide beneficial insights into a growing trend that is having a significant impact on Metro Manila's workplace. We hope that our findings will assist businesses in better understanding and dealing with the issue of quiet quitting.
