Abstract

Epitranus oxytelus Bouček, 1982 (Figures 35, 36) Epitranus oxytelus Bouček, 1982 Material examined INDIA: Goa, Sattari, Ambedem, 11 March 2019, 1 female, yellow pan trap, coll. Sandesh Gawas. Description Female, length of the body 3.4 mm. Colour. Body largely black. Scape, pedicel, fore leg and hindleg (except coxae) and hind tarsi yellowish brown. Hind tibia reddish brown dorsally and black ventrally. Hind femur black apical and basal reddish-brown region. Metasoma black dorsally and laterally and yellowish-brown on the ventral and apical region. Head. Triangular, wider than high in frontal view. Scrobe flat with striations. Antennae stout with apical half swollen. Scape 5× longer than its width. Clava 2× longer than its basal width. Mesosoma. Pronotum, mesoscutum and scutellum thickly punctate, with interstices narrower than the diameter of punctures. Fore wing without post-marginal vein and stigmal vein. Metasoma. Petiolated with longitudinal carinae. Petiole more than 3× long as broad. Petiole shorter than metasoma in length. Distribution INDIA. Goa (new record), Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu (Emiliyamma 2016; Gowriprakash 2019).
