Abstract

Brachymeria jambolana Gahan, 1942 (Figures 25, 26) Brachymeria jambolana Gahan, 1942 Material examined INDIA: Goa, Dharbandora, Mollem National Park, 21 November 2019, 2 females, yellow pan trap, coll. Sandesh Gawas. Description Female, length of the body 3.5–3.8 mm. Colour. Body black with following yellow: tegulae, the apex of fore and mid femur, fore and mid tibia, all tarsi, lateral and dorsal surface of hind tibia and apex of the hind femur. Head. Distinctly wider than high. Pre-orbital carina absent and postorbital carina present. POL 2× OOL. Mesosoma. Pronotum, mesoscutum and scutellum densely punctate, interstices carinate. Scutellum rounded at apex. Fore wing with post-marginal vein shorter than marginal vein and longer than stigmal vein. Ventral margin of hind femur with 10 teeth of distinct sizes. Distribution INDIA. Goa (new record), Kerala, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal (Sheela et al. 2015; Emiliyamma 2016).
