The interactive map presented here (https://sites.usp.br/levoc/mapa-interativo-sitios-sp/) is one of the results obtained by the FAPESP Thematic Project “THE HUMAN OCCUPATION OF SOUTHEASTERN SOUTH AMERICA THROUGHOUT THE HOLOCENE: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY, MULTI-SCALAR AND DIACHRONIC APPROACH” and aims to provide the first comprehensive overview of the archeology of indigenous peoples in the territory that comprises the current State of São Paulo. It is based on a database (DB) composed of 2,084[1] entries and made use of compilation works presented in several PhD theses and recent articles [1] Number referring to publication, in May 2024; the database will be regularly fed.
