EKSPERIMEN INVESTIGASI AUS PAHAT SISIPAN CARBIDA TYPE TNMG331MA PADA PEMBUBUTAN KERING BAJA SS301

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengivestigasi terjadinya aus pahat sisipan Carbida pada pembubutan baja stainless steel 301 dalam kondisipemotongan tanpa media pendingin. Metode pengujian menggunakan mesin bubut konvensional tipe CM6241 x 1000. Pahat sisipan karbida tipe TNMG331MA dengan sudut potong 60 derajat, material proses stainless steel 301 dengan dimensi ø50 mm x 350 mm, Pemegang pahat sisipan PTGNK 2020K 16, keausan pahat diukur dengan microskope digital tipe HD Color CMOS, HS Dsp, 24 bit DSP, OR 2592x1944, 50x DZ, parameter pembubutan, putaran spindel tiga tingkat (N); 850 rpm, 1000 rpm, dan 1300 rpm; pemakanan (f); 0,18 mm/put, 0,22 mm/put, dan 0,28 mm/put; kedalaman potong (a) 1,5 mm konstan. Stainless Steel 301 dengan panjang 350 mm dipegang dalam pencekam tiga rahang. Lama pembubutan tiap tingkat 10, 20, dan 30 menit. Proses pembubutan dalam kondisi kering. Hasil penelitian, nilai keausan pahat sisipan carbida (VB) rendah secara berturut-turut pada menit ke-10, 20, dan 30 sebesar 0,040 mm, 0,050 mm, dan 0,104 mm pada putaran spindel (N) 850 rpm, kecepatan pemakanan (f) 0,18 mm/rev, dan kedalaman pemotongan (a) 1,5 mm, serta tertinggi pada VB sebesar 0,063 mm , 0,100 mm, dan 0,142 mm pada putaran spindel (N) 1300 rpm, kecepatan pemakanan (f) 0,28 mm/rev, dan kedalaman pemotongan (a) 1,5 mm. Mekanisme keausan pahat sisipan carbida terjadi secara proses abrasi.
