Abstract

Contemporary artistic production created from nature has demanded from the viewer a change of perspective in which nature is the protagonist and not just a scenario in which art takes place. With this in mind, we propose to critically analyze the production of a group of artists who participated in the 32nd São Paulo Biennial that took place in 2016. With this group of artists we aspire to reflect on how the relationship between art and nature occurs in their production. Likewise, we wish to establish a relationship between research and art teaching by delving into artistic production and extracting a lexicon that inspires and can support mediation work in art and ecology. Keywords: contemporary art; ecology; Biennale; ecological art education; environmental art education.
