The International Generic Sample Number (IGSN ID) is a globally unique and persistent identifier that can be assigned to any material sample resulting from research in any domain. Through a partnership between DataCite and the IGSN Organization (e.V.), DataCite DOI services for registering IGSN IDs are available to all DataCite Members and Consortium Organizations. But…how does an organization actually work with its researchers to create a sample management workflow that incorporates IGSN ID registration? In response to community requests for practical examples of IGSN ID usage, we are pleased to invite you to join us for a webinar that showcases two real-world IGSN ID implementation use cases. In her presentation, Vaida Plankytė talks about the Sample Management Module developed by RSpace (DataCite Registered Service Provider) that includes IGSN ID registration. A recording of the talk can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ2sJhcujs4&t=1959s
