Resumen Ejecutivo. Estudio Delphi sobre la contextualización de recomendaciones para promover dietas saludables en el ámbito urbano latinoamericano.

Abstract

Se ha descrito a las enfermedades no transmisibles (ENT) y sus factores de riesgo como una de las principales causas de morbilidad, mortalidad y discapacidad en el mundo. La obesidad es un importante problema de salud pública tanto en sociedades económicamente desarrolladas como en sociedades de bajos/medios recursos y esun reconocido factor de riesgo de ENT. Por otro lado, la malnutrición y las ENT están vinculadas a las dietas de baja calidad. Diversas recomendaciones institucionales, se enfocan en la promoción de dietas saludables, para invertir las actuales tendencias y mejorar la salud. Aunque los países disponen de políticas para reducir la obesidad y las ENT, la puesta en práctica de las políticas ha sido escasa. Nuestro objetivo fue analizar la relevancia contextual y aplicabilidad percibida de acciones locales recomendadas por agencias de salud pública internacionales, para la promoción de una alimentación saludable en el ámbito urbano latinoamericano.
