5.2. Cuspidaria cratensis (J. C. Gomes) A.H. Gentry ex L.G. Lohmann,Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 99(3): 425, 2014. Liana, 2,0−3,0 m compr.; ramos sub tetragonais, estriados, lenticelas presentes, densamente pubescente, tricomas simples; profilos das gemas axilares triangulares, não foliáceos. Folhas 2-folioladas, com folíolo terminal geralmente modificado em gavinha simples, discos adesivos ausentes; pecíolo 1,5−3,0 cm compr.; peciólulos 0,5−1,5 cm compr.; folíolos concolores, cartáceos, elípticos, base oblíqua-atenuada, ápice atenuado a acuminado, 3,0−9,8 × 2,3−2,9 cm, margem inteira a crenada, densamente pubescente em ambas faces, tricomas simples. Inflorescência em tirso, terminal, velutina, tricomas simples. Cálice roxo, cartáceo, campanulado, 5-denteado, dentes atenuados a apiculados, 0,3−0,6 × 0,3−0,4 cm, pubescente, tricomas simples; corola rosa a magenta com fauce branca e amarela, membranácea, infundibuliforme, 1,5−5,2 × 0,4−1,2 cm, externamente pubescente, tricomas simples; androceu com estames insertos, anteras ca. 0,3 cm compr., curvadas para frente, glabras, filetes maiores 0,5−0,7 cm compr., filetes menores 0,4−0,5 cm compr., estaminódio ca. 0,3 cm compr., gineceu com ovário ca. 0,4 cm compr., liso, glabro, estilete 2,5 cm compr.; disco nectarífero anelar. Cápsula coriácea, achatada, linear, base e ápice agudos, 10,7 × 1,5 cm, lisa, lenticelas presentes, sem alas laterais, glabra; sementes não vistas. Distribuição: Cuspidaria cratensis é endêmica do nordeste do Brasil, sendo encontrada em áreas secas de Caatinga dos estados do Ceará, Paraíba, Piauí e Rio Grande do Norte (Lohmann et al. 2020). Na Paraíba foi encontrada em áreas de Caatinga. Fenologia: Foi coletada com flores em janeiro. Comentários taxonômicos: Cuspidaria lateriflora pode ser reconhecida pelas inflorescências pequenas com cálice 5-denteado com dentes atenuados a apiculados. Material examinado: BRASIL.
