PEDRI: Findings from our Public Consultation on the Best Practice Draft Standards for the Use of Data for Research and Statistics
This report outlines the findings from a public consultation on draft Best Practice Standards for Public Involvement and Engagement (PIE) in data research and statistics initiated by the Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative (PEDRI). Over ten months, a diverse working group developed seven draft standards addressing various aspects of PIE, culminating in a public consultation conducted through an online survey in June and July 2023. The survey gathered 139 responses, providing valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement. Moving forward, the Best Practice Standards Working Group plans to further refine the standards based on this feedback and promote their adoption within the research and statistics community.
