Regelmäßiges Monitoring vs. Zufallsmeldungen in Bezug auf landschaftliche Einflüsse

Abstract

Poster im Rahmen der Österreichischen Citizen Science Konferenz 2024. 03.-06. April 2024 in Wien, Östereich. Im Projekt Roadkill melden Citizen Scientists zufällige Sichtungen von überfahrenen Wirbeltieren (Roadkills) auf Österreichs Straßen. Diese Daten sind wichtig, um einen Überblick über Roadkills zu erhalten. Gemeldete Zufallsfunde von Citizen Scientists sind möglicherweise aufgrund ihrer ungleichmäßigen zeitlichen und geografischen Verteilung nicht repräsentativ für die Gesamtheit der Region. Im Gegensatz dazu sind regelmäßige Monitorings darauf ausgerichtet, bestimmte Gebiete systematisch zu erfassen und bieten eine zuverlässigere Grundlage für statistische Analysen. Ziel der Studie ist es herauszufinden ob wir mit den bisher gesammelten Citizen Science Meldungen zu den selben Ergebnissen in Bezug auf die umgebende Landschaft von Roadkills kommen, wie durch ein Monitoring.
