Abstract

Opuntia humifusa (Raf.) Raf. Gemeiner Feigenkaktus Art ISFS: 279590 Checklist: 1031230 Cactaceae Opuntia Opuntia humifusa (Raf.) Raf. Zusammenfassung Artbeschreibung (nach Lauber & al. 2018): Niederliegende Pflanze mit dickfleischigen, flachen, ovalen, hellgrünen, bis 10 cm langen Stängelgliedern. Dornen meist einzeln, 1-2,5 cm lang, hellbraun bis weiss, oft ganz fehlend, aber warzenartige Gebilde (Areolen) mit einzelnen, steifen Haaren (Glochiden) immer vorhanden. Blüten gelb, Durchmesser 4-8 cm, mit 8-10 breit-ovalen Kronblättern. Frucht rot, fleischig, feigenförmig, 2-3,5 cm lang, erst im nächsten Sommer abfallend.
