Intervención innovadora mediante realidad aumentada y virtual en estudiantes con TEA

Abstract

Introducción: En el presente trabajo se analizan a los estudiantes con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). Se hace un recorrido a nivel teórico sobre dicho trastorno, así como la implementación de la tecnología educativa, en concreto de la realidad aumentada y virtual como recursos innovadores para llevar a cabo las intervenciones formativas. Objetivo: El propósito de este estudio es conocer la influencia de la utilización de la realidad aumentada y virtual en estudiantes con TEA en diversas variables psicoeducativas como la motivación, la atención, la comunicación, la autonomía y los resultados de aprendizaje. Método: Para ello se ha realizado un diseño cuasi-experimental de naturaleza pre-post en un solo grupo. Se ha tomado una muestra de 23 estudiantes de la Asociación de Autismo de Ceuta. Tras la intervención planificada de contraste, se recopilaron los datos mediante un cuestionario. Resultados: Los resultados revelan que las actividades con realidad aumentada y virtual obtuvieron un mayor alcance que las actividades tradicionales, sobre todo en la motivación, aunque la atención se vio afectada. Discusión: Esto verifica la potencialidad que refleja la tecnología educativa. No obstante, su uso debe ser adaptado para no afectar a ninguna dimensión.
