Percepciones de las políticas públicas sobre migración en Ecuador en mujeres migrantes

Abstract

La migración constituye un fenómeno mundial que implica varias situaciones problemáticas, entre ellas situaciones de afectación de los derechos de las mujeres, quienes en calidad de mujeres y migrantes son más propensas a sufrir de explotación laboral, sexual y de diversa índole, situación que ejemplifica la vulnerabilidad de sus derechos. En tal sentido, este trabajo de investigación está orientado a conocer las percepciones sobre las leyes, reglamentos y programas que ejecuta el Ecuador, de un grupo de mujeres migrantes. Para la recolección de información se procedió a efectuar entrevistas semi estructuradas a una muestra 100 mujeres migrantes; la información fue analizada y codificada tomando en consideración las percepciones relativas a condiciones de vida, condiciones laborales, conocimiento de leyes y reglamentos, entro otros. Entre los resultados obtenidos pudo identificarse que las mujeres migrantes argumentan desconocimiento de las leyes, reglamentos que promueven sus derechos como migrantes y aducen que es necesario que el Estado ecuatoriano promueva mayores políticas y programas en favor de sus derechos como grupo vulnerable.
