Fabriquer ses armes et ses outils, hypothèses pour une expérimentation sur l'Âge du Bronze Égéen

Abstract

L’artisanat et la guerre en Égée au cours de l’Âge du Bronze sont deux thèmes qui font l’objet d’un important intérêt dans la recherche archéologique depuis de nombreuses années. Pour autant, les étapes de la chaîne opératoire de fabrication des outils et des armes restent encore aujourd’hui grandement discutées et parfois, méconnues. Cet article présente des hypothèses de protocoles expérimentaux sur la chaîne opératoire de fabrication d’outils en bronze et de casques en bronze ou défenses de sangliers. Ces protocoles ont été réalisés à partir des observations et des analyses de stigmates réalisées sur le matériel archéologique, d’un apport de sources bibliographiques et par l’utilisation d’analogies avec d’autres contextes géographiques et chronologiques.
