Authors: Balalaikins, Maksims;

Sitona inops Schonherr 1832

Abstract

Sitona inops Schönherr, 1832 References: Rathlef 1921; Lackschewitz and Mikutowicz 1939; Barševskis 1993, 1997; Telnov et al. 1997; Telnov 2004. Examined material: Not confirmed in this research. Host plants: Medicago, Ononis (Fabaceae). General distribution: Europe, Caucasus, S and W Siberia, Central Asia (Kazakhstan), East Asia (China, Mongolia) [CAE]. Note: Some of the previous reports of this species (Barševskis 1993, 1997) are based on misidentification. Species is mentioned in the old bibliographical source Lackschewitz and Mikutowicz 1939 and in the published catalogues of Latvian Coleoptera (Telnov 2004; Telnov et al. 1997). Occurrence of this species in Latvia needs confirmation.
