This species was previously known only from Greece (Cate 2007, Kundrata et al. 2021). It should be noted that Farashiani et al. (2022) erroneously mixed up Greece with Georgia. Considering the distribution of E. brucki in Greece, the record of this species from Iran by Farashiani et al. (2022) is dubious, and the specimen reported by the authors should be re-examined by experts (R. Kundrata, G. Platia).
