Abstract

La enfermedad hemolítica perinatal es causada por incompatibilidad sanguínea materno fetal y afecta de distintas maneras al feto y al recién nacido. Esta incompatibilidad se denomina así por existir uno o más antígenos en el glóbulo rojo fetal que la madre no los tiene y puede ocasionar una respuesta materna contra estos antígenos mediados por inmunoglobulinas. La ictericia patológica se puede ocasionar por la incompatibilidad de grupo sanguíneo son de origen hemolítico y dentro de estas la inmunitaria ocupa la mayor parte , esta enfermedad se ocasiona por la destrucción anormal y acelerada de los eritrocitos fetales mediados por anticuerpos maternos que son IgG los que se fijan a los antígenos de los eritrocitos fetales para ser hemolizados. Puede estar dada por anticuerpos ABO, Rh y otros fuera de estos sistemas. Hoy en día se están presentando mas casos de hemolisis por incompatibilidad.
