Abstract

8. Dorylaimus macrodorus de Man. Taf. XXVI, Fig. 110-110 c. ♀ 1,8 mm., ♂ unbekannt, α = 25, ß =4 1⁄2, —5, γ= 70-80. Körper von wenig schlanker Gestalt, Vorderende wenig verjüngt. Kopfende abgesetzt, mit 6 ' wenig ausgebildeten Lippen ohne Papillen. Stachel sehr charakteristisch, durch Grösse und Bau von dem aller anderen Dorylaimen unterschieden, 1/4 des Abstandes der Mundöffnung zum Darme lang: sein vorderer Tei lang und dünn die hintere Hälfte aus drei dünnen Platten mit buchtigem Aussenrande gebildet, welche mit ihren geradlinigen Innenrändern das Lumen der Stachelhöhle begrenzen; diese Platten sind nach dem, bei den Nematoden herrschenden, Gesetze gerichtet und verbunden. Vestibulum sehr enge, bis bei der Stachelmembran von dicken Wänden begrenzt, gänzlich vom vorderen Teile des Stachels eingenommen; hinter der Staehelmembran sind die Wände dünn. Ösophagus (beim Hinterende des Stachels anfangend) in seiner vorderen Hälfte sehr enge, ungefähr in seiner Mitte plötzlich erweitert. Weibliche Geschlechtsöffnung etwas vor der Körpermitte; Geschlechtsorgane paarig symmetrisch, gross, der postvaginale Teil fast die Hälfte des Abstandes zwischen Geschlechtsöffnung und After einnehmend; zwei Eier im Utero. Schwanz sehr kurz, stumpf abgerundet. Eine nicht häufige Art, in ihrem Habitus dem Dorylaimus obtusicaudatus sehr ähnlich, welche in feuchter, von süssem Wasser getränkter Erde der holländischen Wiesen und Marschgründe lebt. Bewegung lebhaft.
