Nowadays, it is easy to have almost anything we want at our fingertips; we only need a device that provides us with access to the multitude of applications and websites that function as intermediaries between us and the world. Although there are great benefits of the hyperconnection in which we live and which is advancing rapidly in a race to conquer markets, minds and territory, we can encounter many challenges so that these platforms do not overtake us. As challenging as it may seem, the good news is that people continue to be the key behind technology. In this edition, we address the topic of human and digital platforms with a note by Paola García about the use of these tools to address sustainability issues and another by Cecilia Rodríguez and David Montaño about how platforms can help close gaps in education on energy and sustainability issues. At CO2nversando, we present you an interview with Igor Jiménez from Codek about platform design. We also share three infographics in Yes, yes it is: platforms, what do networks tell us?, and the MIT EN-Roads simulator. Finally, we leave you a list of suggestions and recommendations on this topic to take away.
