Questions and Answers on measurement uncertainty

Abstract

Implementation of the Standard EN ISO 19036 for the estimation of measurement uncertainty associated with the enumeration of Campylobacter, coagulase positive staphylococci and Listeria monocytogenes in the food chain Working group of the EURLs: Campylobacter (SVA, Uppsala, Sweden): Gunnar Andersson and Hanna Skarin – eurl-campylobacter@sva.s Coagulase Positive Staphylococci (ANSES, Laboratory for Food Safety, Maisons-Alfort, France): Abakabir-Mahamat Abdelrahim - eurl-staphylococci@anses.fr Listeria monocytogenes (ANSES, Laboratory for Food Safety, Maisons-Alfort, France): Adrien Asséré and Léna Barre - eurl-listeria@anses.fr Expert: Bertrand Lombard (ANSES, Strategy & Programmes Department, Maisons-Alfort, France) bertrand.lombard@anses.fr This is a list of questions collected by the EURL-Campylobacter, EURL-Coagulase Positive Staphylococci and EURL-Listeria monocytogenes from their respective NRL networks at different training sessions or workshops, or directly posed to each EURL. The answers to these questions were prepared by the EURL working group on Measurement Uncertainty (MU), including the same EURLs and Bertrand Lombard, ANSES expert on MU. References to EN ISO 19036 (link), the EURLs ‘Guide for implementation of the Standard EN ISO 19036:2019 for the estimation of measurement uncertainty associated with the enumeration of Campylobacter, coagulase positive staphylococci and Listeria monocytogenes in the food chain’ (link) and other International Standards are listed beneath each answer.
