A fricativa velar /x/ e suas representações alfabéticas: problemas no ensino de português como língua estrangeira

Abstract

Esse estudo explora as representações ortográficas do fonema fricativo velar /x/ em seis línguas diferentes, com foco no ensino de Português como Língua Estrangeira (PLE). A metodologia envolveu a análise de corpora retirada das diferentes representações alfabéticas do fonema /x/. Para tanto, buscou-se as acepções ortográficas responsáveis por tal representação dentro dos sistemas linguísticos do português brasileiro, do espanhol peninsular, francês europeu, do alemão-padrão, do holandês e do inglês britânico. Os resultados demonstraram que as assimetrias entre os sistemas linguísticos dessas línguas podem criar desafios significativos para os alunos de PLE, uma vez que dificultam a aquisição da compreensão letra-fonema dentro da referida língua. Os exemplos fornecidos destacaram como o fonema /x/ é representado de maneiras distintas em diferentes contextos linguísticos e isso pode afetar a pronúncia e a compreensão dos alunos estrangeiros. Ademais, a conscientização sobre a diversidade linguística e cultural também enriquece a experiência de aprendizado e promove uma compreensão mais profunda da língua e cultura brasileira.
