
The Royal Botanic Garden EdinburghHerbarium divides the world into regions to aid the curation of the collection. They are not political, physical or geographical boundaries but lines on a map that allow us to divide our collection into functional units. As we obtain more collections in region of particular research areas (i.e. Himalaia) we sometimes need to subdivide these regions.
