Business Model Development Tools: Plan for Organisational Success

Abstract

Business model tools facilitate communication and collaboration for business analysis and design. In the XGain project for rural connectivity, the Business Model Canvas was chosen for its versatility and ability to provide a comprehensive view, identify partnerships, manage costs, understand customer segments, and facilitate quick iteration. It serves as an essential instrument for successful digital connectivity solutions, enhancing rural community competitiveness and sustainability. This work has been developed in the context of the XGain project (101060294). XGain fosters a sustainable, balanced, and inclusive development of rural, coastal and urban areas by facilitating access to relevant stakeholders to a comprehensive inventory of smart XG, last-mile connectivity and edge computing solutions, and of related assessment methods.
