Mecánica Corporal de las Enfermeras en la UCI Pediátrica

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the Level of application of body mechanics in the Nursing Professional of the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Pediatric University Hospital "Agustín Zubillaga" Lara 2,022. The population was made up of xxx Nursing Professionals from the Intensive Care Unit. It is framed in the quantitative research modality, of a non-experimental field with a cross-sectional design. Structured observation with photographic support was used as a data collection method. The results obtained were analyzed and interpreted with the help of the R.E.B.A method, in most of the professionals evaluated, inadequate postures in the trunk and neck stand out, in some cases the risks described are inherent to the furniture and its inadequate distribution, as well as technical failures. in patient beds or implements used for daily functions what is inferred or that the professional must adopt inappropriate postures as a way of adaptation to carry out their activities. A total sum of 113 points was obtained, yielding an average of five point thirty-eight (5.38) points among the 21 participants, indicating that they are at action level two (2) with a medium risk and that action is warranted to improve the body mechanics implemented during their daily work activities in order to avoid and reduce the appearance of injuries to the musculoskeletal system
