Abstract

Im Spätsommer 2012 gab ein Firnfeld auf dem Lötschenpass, der das Wallis und das Berner Oberland verbindet, Teile einer Bergausrüstung aus der Frühbronzezeit frei. Dazu gehört eine genähte Schachtel aus Holz. Sie diente als Proviant- oder Vorratsdose, wie das darin erhaltene Getreide zeigt. Une boîte à provisions du Bronze ancienÀ la fin de l’été 2012, une partie d’un équipement de montagne daté du début de l’âge du Bronze est trouvé dans un névé près du col du Lötschen, qui relie le Valais et l’Oberland bernois. L’un des éléments est une boîte à provisions en bois datée entre 2000 et 1750 av. J.-C. Son fond en arolle et ses parois en saule sont cousus avec des branches de mélèze. Son contenu est lui aussi conservé: il s’agit d’une motte noire composée de céréales grossièrement moulues. Scatola per le provviste del Bronzo anticoAlla fine dell’estate 2012, un nevaio, sul Passo del Lötschen, che collega il Vallese e l’Oberland bernese, ha riportato alla luce parti di un equipaggiamento da montagna risalente al Bronzo antico. Si tratta di una scatola di legno cucita che fungeva da contenitore per il cibo e che risale a un periodo compreso tra il 2000 e il 1750 a.C. La sua base in pino cembro e la parete in salice sono cucite insieme con rami di larice. Anche il contenuto della scatola si è conservato: un grumo nero di cereali macinati grossolanamente.
