Abstract

Auf der Grundlage des NIV-Berichts für die Olympiakandidatur "Graubünden 2022" wurde für die Ski WM St. Moritz 2017 ein Konzept erstellt, das der Destination Engadin St. Moritz und den weiteren Anspruchsgruppen der Ski WM die Möglichkeit geben sollte, über die Nachhaltigkeit und Innovation ein langfristiges Vermächtnis (NIV) zu schaffen. Auf der Grundlage der übergeordneten Vision der Ski WM St. Moritz 2017 wurde eine NIV-Charta mit Nachhaltigkeits- und Innovationszielen für ein positives Vermächtnis entwickelt. Sie bildete den verbindlichen Rahmen für das Handeln der Organisatoren, Behörden, Verbänden und weiteren Akteuren. Daraus wurden unter Einbezug der Anspruchsgruppen der Ski WM 22 Projekte in den Bereichen Umwelt, Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft und Management abgeleitet. Die Umsetzung der NIV-Projekte sollte sicherstellen, dass die Grundsätze und Ziele der NIV-Charta eingehalten bzw. erreicht werden. Ob und wie dies gelungen ist, zeigt der Bericht „Nachhaltigkeit + Innovation = Vermächtnis (NIV)“.
