Optimisation Algorithm for AI Services

Abstract

The current AI landscape witnesses a surge in research, resulting in a plethora of pretrained models. XGain facilitates personalized configuration solutions by automating technology selection for users, addressing complex factors like capacity planning and resource allocation. Examples demonstrate AI's applications in rural areas, such as drone-assisted farming and remote patient monitoring. XGain's algorithm optimally allocates services to processing devices, considering user constraints and minimizing costs using mixed integer programming. This approach extends beyond XGain to various AI-service scenarios, offering streamlined decision-making processes. This work has been developed in the context of the XGain project (101060294). XGain fosters a sustainable, balanced, and inclusive development of rural, coastal and urban areas by facilitating access to relevant stakeholders to a comprehensive inventory of smart XG, last-mile connectivity and edge computing solutions, and of related assessment methods.
