Cáncer de Mama: prevalencia, factores de riesgo y signos en la población

Abstract

El cáncer de mama es el tipo de cáncer más frecuente en todo el mundo; es por ello que la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal analizar la prevalencia, factores de riesgo y signos del cáncer de mama. Se realizó un estudio de revisión sistemática que utilizó bases de datos confiables tales como, ScieELO, PudMed, Medigraphic, Redalyc, Elsevier y buscadores como Google académico con artículos actuales de los últimos 5 años en idiomas español, inglés y portugués, utilizando operadores booleanos como AND y OR, considerando criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Entre los resultados identificados, se puede mencionar que se identificó la prevalencia del cáncer de mama, el cual mantiene cifras que van desde el 14,31% hasta el 74,0% siendo el más predominante en Nicaragua. También, se describieron las diferentes manifestaciones clínicas que provoca esta enfermedad, en donde el abultamiento mamario, la secreción del pezón, el hundimiento del pezón, la retracción de piel, la piel en cascara de naranja, las adenopatías axilares y el cambio en la posición del pezón fueron los más identificados. Y entre los factores de riesgo destacaron la obesidad, la edad, la nuliparidad, el sedentarismo, el consumo de alcohol y tabaco, la anticoncepción hormonal, los antecedentes familiares, la menopausia y los niveles altos de grasa corporal
