Abstract

Acinopus (Oedematicus) megacephalus (P. Rossi, 1794) Material: 1 female – “ Latvia, Jelgavas nov., pie Krāču kalna ezera, sils augsnes lamatas 12-25. VII.2011, J. Prokopčika leg.” (DUBC). Species widely distributed in South Europe and Near East: Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Macedonia, SW of Russia, Slovenia, Syria, Turkmenistan and Turkey. Here is recorded for Latvia for the first time, and probably was introduced.
