Schweizer Schulmusik: Schule oder Musik?

Abstract

Der Text speist sich aus einem Forschungsprojekt, in welchem Musikunterricht an Deutschschweizer Sekundarschulen ethnographisch beforscht wurde. Nach der Darstellung einer kulturwissenschaftlichen Sicht auf den Musikunterricht werden einige ausgewählte Erkenntnisse der Forschung vorgestellt. Dabei werden scheinbar "natürliche", da selten reflektierte, Praktiken, Handlungen und Orientierungen fokussiert, die oftmals die Basis für konkretere schulpraktische, fachdidaktische und wissenschaftliche Interessen und Fragen darstellen. Abschliessend werden fachdidaktische Fragen aufgeworfen, die sich aus der Gegenüberstellung der beforschten Kultur des Musikunterrichts und deren institutionellem Rahmen, der Schule, ergeben.
