Abstract

[EN] Landscape architecture: from the archive to the construction of a narrative There is a gap in the history of landscape architecture in Portugal. It needs to be recovered for historical and cultural reasons and to the disciplines' epistemology concerning environmental issues on the political agenda. The point is how to give it visibility today, questioning this hypothesis by providing access to archival documents. Mapping landscape architecture documents in the Portuguese context and its safeguard and access conditions; this paper problematises the importance of these archives and records for constructing a historical narrative. Or how its non-treatment may contribute to the erasure of a discipline with eight decades. Keywords: History of landscape architecture, record, archive
