Original description: Squalius namak Khaefi, Esmaeili, Sayyadzadeh, Geiger & Freyhof, 2016: 148, figs. 2-4, 5c, 6, 9 [Spring Bolagh (Cheshmeh Bolagh) at Shazand, east of Anjirak, Markazi province, Iran, 34°00'38"N, 49°50'51"E; holotype: ZM-CBSU G121]. Revisions. None. Illustrations. Khaefi et al. (2016: 148, fig. 2). Distribution in Iran. — Distribution in River Basin: Namak Lake.—Distribution in Ecoregions: 447-Namak. Status in Iran. [Endemic].— Mahi sefid-e Namak.—Listed in previous checklists from Iran by Esmaeili et al. (2017 a, 2018); Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. (2020) and Eagderi et al. (2022).— Iran material: ZM-CBSU. Conservation. —IUCN: NE.
