
Aleiodes klopfsteinae sp. nov. (Fig. 89) Holotype ♀, Thailand, Phetchabun Province, Thung Salaeng Luang NP, Gang Wang Nan Yen, 13.vi.2003, 16° 37.178’ N, 100° 53.504’ E, 706m, Pongpitak, Pranee & Sathit (voucher BCLDQ00754, Genbank JQ388397) (QSBG). Body length 3.9 mm, fore wing length 3.5 mm. Antenna incomplete, with at least 36 flagellomeres. Median flagellomeres 2x longer than wide. Occipital carina broadly obliterated medially, ventrally complete and joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron largely coriaceous, precoxal sulcus broad and rugulose, speculum distinct though slighly sculptured. Midlongitudinal carina of propodeum incomplete, replaced on posterior third by transverse carinae. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.15 x 1-CU1. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.9 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 1.1 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.25 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.7 x 1-M. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein subtubular basally, more or less straight, unpigmented, interstial. Apex of hind tibia with a comb of especially modified and adpressed setae on inner side and often also ventrally between hind tibial spurs. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite moderately strongly produced, posteriorly concave. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite distinct on anterior 0.9 of tergum. Etymology. Named after Seraina Klopfstein in recognition of her fine contribution to the biology and systematics of the Diplazontinae (Ichneumonidae).
