
Improphantes decolor (Westring, 1861) Description: Bosmans (1985a: 153, figs 6d–f), Thaler (1986: 322, figs 31–35, 39–46). Previous records: Lisboa: Tapada de Mafra (Telfer et al. 2003). New records: Bragança: Douro Internacional NP, Mogadouro, Bruçó, 1 male, 3.X.2001 (CPC); Freixo de Espada à Cinta, Picotino, 3 females 7.II–3.III.2001, 8 males, 17.X–28.XI.2001 (CPC). Distribution: Europe, North Africa. A species with a much scattered distribution, in the Iberian Peninsula with only one record from the region of Lisboa (Telfer et al. 2003). Two new localities in the north of Portugal are added here. Habitat type: Prefers mostly closed, damp forests. Phenology: A winter species, adults found from October to March.
