Abstract

Summary: The trigeminal nerve is the largest of the 12 cranial nerves, specifically the fifth pair. It belongs to the nerves of a mixed type and includes very sensitive fibers. This name is due to the fact that the nerve is divided into three branches, which provide mobility and sensitivity of the face, mucous membranes of the mouth and teeth.
