Abstract

Loneura misak n. sp. Male (Figs 58–63) Diagnosis. Hypandrium deeply cleft posteriorly in the middle, with the posterior processes proximally wide, narrowing distally, directed postero-laterally; mesal processes apically truncate, slightly curved (Fig. 61); endophallic mesal sclerite processes stout, slightly curved, distally hooked. Forewing pattern as in L. koreguaje. Hypandrium similar to L. javierensis. Color. Body brown. Head pattern (Fig. 60), vertex light brown; front with brown spots, an ochre transverse band between the inner border of each compound eye, below the lower edge of the ocellar triangle to the epistomal sulcus; a cream diagonal band from the inner border of each compound eye to the epistomal sulcus, at the level of the antennal fossae. Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Labrum, anteclypeus, postclypeus and mandibles dark brown. Genae ochre. Postgenae light brown. Antennae: scape and pedicel brown; flagella pale brown, flagellomeres with apices cream. Maxillary palps: Mx1 cream; Mx2–4 dark brown, light brown proximally. Tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax dark brown, with light brown edges. Thoracic pleura light brown with ochre areas. Legs: coxae with small ochre spots basally, fore- coxae and trochanters brown; coxae and trochanters of mid- and hindlegs light brown; femora light brown, with two brown spots; tibiae and tarsi pale brown. Wings hyaline (Figs 58–59). Forewing pterostigma dark brown, with a hyaline central area; an irregular, submarginal brown band from R4+5 to areola postica, and a brown band from the middle of Cu1 to distal end of 1A. Veins with a brown spot at wing margin. Hindwings with brown spots on vein ends. Abdomen light brown, with subcuticular ochre spots. Clunium brown, light brown in the middle. Hypandrium dark brown. Epiproct and paraprocts light brown. Morphology. Head (Fig. 60): H/MxW: 1.46; H/d: 3.61; IO/MxW: 0.72. Vertex at the same level of the upper border of the compound eyes. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with six short denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.20. Forewings (Fig. 58): L/W: 2.66. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 4.11, areola postica tall, apically rounded: la/ha: 1.48, M five-branched, M6 forked. Hindwings (Fig. 59): l/w: 3.17; M three-branched. Hypandrium (Fig. 61), posterior projections proximally wide, narrowing distally; phallosome V-shaped anteriorly, side struts slender; external parameres laminar, wide, bearing pores and teeth (Fig. 63); three pairs of endophallic sclerites, anterior pair elongate, asymmetric and laminar, lateral sclerites asymmetric, elongate; mesal pair wide and separated from each other distally, mesal sclerite processes elongate and rounded apically. Paraprocts (Fig. 62) oval, with distal setal field and macrosetae as illustrated; sensory fields with 21 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct (Fig. 62) semioval, with short and long setae, and a posterior field of microspicules. Measurements (in µm).
