In this session, we initiate our work with a LiDAR flight conducted under the auspices of the UP TCAGP and PHIL-LiDAR Program over the Taal Volcano. Our goal is to process the acquired LiDAR data to produce a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) at the desired resolution, with the intention of crafting a comprehensive slope map. As a practical application, we calculate regions on the volcano where the slope surpasses a predefined threshold, aiming to pinpoint areas susceptible to pojktential erosion.
