Spongelia pallescens subsp. fragilis var. ramosa Schulze, 1879 Spongelia pallescens subsp. fragilis var. ramosa Schulze, 1879b: 154. Schulze’s name is not an available name (as it has a fourth name, ICZN art. 45.5). I propose to assign this material, decribed from the northern Adriatic Sea, to Dysidea avara (Schmidt, 1862) on account of its ramose habit.
