TÜRKİYE'NİN SICAK İKLİM KOŞULLARINDA KAZ YETİŞTİRİCİLİĞİ: DİYARBAKIR İLİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Kanatlı hayvan yetiştiriciliğinde karşılaşılan en büyük problemlerden biri sıcaklık stresidir. Diyarbakır ili özellikle yaz aylarında Türkiye’nin en sıcak illerinden biri olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Kazlar, genel olarak soğuk hava koşullarına uyum sağlayan kümes hayvanları olarak bilinir ve bu alanlarda üretim yoğunlaşmıştır. Yaygın kanının aksine kazların sıcak ve kurak iklimlere de uyum sağlayabilmektedir. Hayvanların tutulduğu barınaklar havalandırma sistemine sahip olması ve stoklama yoğunluğunun optimum (m2/3,5 kaz) tutulması, diyetlere vitamin karışımlarının eklenmesi, yüksek üreme performansına katkı sağladığı gibi sıcaklık stresini de azaltabilmektedir. Bu çalışma ile sıcak iklim özelliklerine sahip Diyarbakır ilinin kaz yetiştiriciliği içerisindeki yeri, sıcaklığa karşı alınabilecek önlemler ve ildeki kaz yetiştiriciliğinin geliştirilebilmesi noktasında alınması gereken tedbirler hakkında bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
