Abstract

Are video games simple entertainment or can they be put at the service of diffusion? Currently they are one of the main sources of entertainment worldwide and are not exclusive to a young audience. There are many who have seen the potential that this medium offers as a new channel of communication and, therefore, diffusion. Is it possible that archeology can also benefit from them to get closer to the population? What does the archaeologist look like in video games? Can video games provide a new field of study or new job opportunities for archaeologists?
