Abstract

This data set contains input and output of the global MHD simulation in the article "Interplanetary magnetic field By controlled Alfven wings at Earth during encounter of a coronal mass ejection". 1. Simulation input files: a) IMF.dat: solar wind conditions for the simulation b) PARAM.in.ss and PARAM.in.ta: input files for the steady state (.ss) and time accurate (.ta) stages 2. Simulation output: a) sim.csv: simulation output along the virtual satellite trajectory, which is used for figure2. b) 3d__var_4_t00220000_n02275984_vtk.zip: 3D output that is used for figure3-7. After decompression, it is a vtu file and can be opened with Paraview.
