FORMAÇÃO INICIAL E CONTINUADA DE PROFESSORES DA EDUCAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL NO BRASIL: UMA PERSPECTIVA HISTÓRICA

Abstract

Ao longo das últimas décadas, a formação de professores/as da área específica da educação profissional tem sido alvo de políticas educacionais oscilantes, refletindo avanços e retrocessos. Este estudo se propõe a examinar esse cenário histórico por meio de dispositivos legais, com o objetivo de discutir a formação de professores/as da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT), proporcionando uma reflexão acerca da importância tanto da formação continuada quanto da formação inicial. Utilizando uma abordagem exploratória e interpretativa, o artigo investiga o percurso educacional dos últimos cinquenta anos acerca da educação profissional e da necessária formação docente para essa modalidade de ensino. Os resultados apontam para a falta de políticas educacionais consistentes, o que prejudica a formação de professores/as da EPT. As constantes mudanças normativas, orientadas pelas políticas governamentais, destacam a urgência de uma discussão sobre a formação inicial e continuada de professores/as que atuam nessa modalidade de ensino. Este estudo ressalta a necessidade premente de diretrizes claras no campo da formação de professores/as.
