Modèle de fixation du prix du bétail au Niger : marchandage ou enchères ?

Abstract

Les choix en matière de prix sont de plus en plus considérés comme un levier important de la compétitivité de l’entreprise. Si les méthodes de tarification ont connu une certaine évolution pour aujourd’hui reposer davantage sur la valeur perçue par les clients qui ont tendance à participer à la fixation des prix, la recherche dans ce domaine reste insuffisante, notamment dans le contexte de l’Afrique subsaharienne. L’objectif de cet article est de contribuer à la connaissance des mécanismes de fixation des prix de biens et services en général, et celle des méthodes de prix participatifs dans le contexte nigérien en particulier. Suivant une approche méthodologique ethnographique, par observation directe, un modèle de tarification a été identifié concernant la fixation du prix du bétail au Niger. Ce travail montre que ce modèle présente des aspects similaires avec les méthodes participatives de fixation des prix. Autrement dit, il explique que la spécificité du modèle repose sur sa nature hybride qui inclue les caractéristiques des enchères, du name your own price et du marchandage.
