
Lejogaster metallina is a small, metallic, dark green coloured hoverfly. As a result of the analysis of organized museum and private collections in Poland, 175 individuals of this species from Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, and Bulgaria were found and summarized here. The geographical distribution of data in Poland, in the context of individual researchers, is shown on the map. Analysis of the number of individuals and locations found over the decades shows a downward trend. The species is considered endangered in Poland
