Leiturabilidade em Dois Formatos de Mangá: Wideban Versus Meio-Tanko

Abstract

Fundada em 1992, a Editora JBC firmou-se como uma das principais editoras de mangá do Brasil. Hoje publica seus títulos em diferentes formatos impressos. Entre eles, temos dois que diferem do tankoubon, considerado o padrão tanto no Japão, quanto no Brasil: os formatos meio-tanko, de baixo custo, e o formato wideban, maior que o tankoubon, com mais páginas e com melhor material. Partindo do conceito de paratexto proposto por Gerard Genette (2009) e do conceito de leiturabilidade proposto por Edgar Dale e Janne Chall (1949), o presente trabalho pretende realizar uma análise comparativa entre dois volumes do mangá InuYasha, o primeiro volume em formato wideban e o vigésimo terceiro volume da publicação em formato meio-tanko. O objetivo de tal análise é observar as características materiais e paratextuais de cada um dos volumes e identificar como cada um dos formatos e seus paratextos auxiliam na leiturabilidade do título.
