Abstract

Este ensaio sobre a identidade do ludovicense (o mesmo que são-luisense, adjetivo referente àquele que nasce e/ou vive em São Luís, capital do Maranhão, Brasil) fez com que fosse preciso voltar ao passado e pesquisar "Casa Grande e Senzala", de Gilberto Freyre, para extrair dois conceitos: poder (Casa Grande) e opressão (Senzala), a fim de compreender a juventude atual, que muitas vezes busca algo com que se identifique, mas nada sabe sobre isso. Este é o principal motivo deste ensaio ter sido escrito.
