Finlandiya'daki Türk Çocuklarına Türkçe Öğretimi Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

ABSTRACT In this study, it is aimed to examine the opinions of both parents and teachers regarding the difficulties they face in teaching Turkish to Turkish children living in Finland. The study was conducted as a qualitative research. The purpose of qualitative research is to reveal perceptions and experiences. The phenomenology pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was determined as the main method in the study. Phenomenology; In science, it refers to the creation of knowledge based on people's experiences and observations. Interview questions specified in Appendix 1 were used as data collection tools in the study. As a sample group, 20 parents and 4 teachers who are parents of students currently studying in Turkish schools in Finland were selected. In the analysis of the data obtained from the sample group, analyses were made using the content analysis method. It is understood in the interviews that the parents are generally satisfied with the teaching of Turkish. In order for this training to be more permanent, it is generally requested to increase the weekly class time. Recommendations on these issues were also included in the research.
