Union Carbide Building (aka. 270 Park Avenue/JPMorgan Chase Tower), is a 707-foot tall skyscraper that was demolished and the tallest building in history to be demolished. Started construction in 1957 and completed in 1960 as the world's 9th tallest building in New York City. It then closed in 2018 for demolition. It was demolished to expand office space for a new supertall 270 Park Avenue that is twice its height.
